I know today is usually dedicated to Tea, but it’s National Coffee Day! So in honor of Tea’s first Cousin, Coffee, I decided to follow the TikTok craze (No I’m not on TikTok) and make Dalgona Coffee! I think it came out pretty good.

So here’s the Tea on this coffee. I’ve tried it with sugar, stevia, and monk fruit, and sorry to say (to all my keto lovers) I only….and I mean ONLY liked the way this came out using sugar!

This is How I made mine👇🏾

In a large mixing bowl: I combined 2tbsp of Trader Joe’s Instant Coffee with 2 tbsp of room temperature water, and a ton of sugar!!!! The recipe calls for 2tbsp of sugar but that just wasn’t enough for me.

Then I whipped them together using a handheld electric blender. A whisk will work but takes too much time and lady-power. Blend or whisk until the mixture thickens and holds its foamy shape.

I filled my mug half way full with almond milk. I recommend Elmhurst because they only have 2 ingredients: Almonds and water. Not all that extra 💩 that your body doesn’t need.

Added Ice.

Lastly, I dolloped and swirled the whipped coffee mixture on top, then topped it off with Trader Joe’s chocolate covered espresso beans.

SO good! 😋 ☕️

Hello my Rose Buds! Since we’ve been stuck in Quarantine Land, I now have a little more time to get back to blogging! So last week, I decided to dedicate Tuesdays to one of my favorite drinks…Tea 🍵 (check out my previous post)

Last week, we tried Adagio’s Cotton Candy 🍭Tea, which I absolutely loved. 😍 This week, the adventurous flavor is Make A Wish Birthday Cake Tea🎂😋

How I prepared? This is a loose leaf tea.🍂 Therefore, I used tea infusers with kettle-boiled water to steep. As you read in my last post, I almost always prepare my tea with cream or milk, and honey. I used Leaner Creamer Original with my Make A Wish Birthday Cake Tea. Leaner Creamer is quite expensive. However, I purchased mine on sale at Home Goods in the food section. The honey I used was Golding Farms Raw Organic Honey 🍯

So what did I think? I was a bit nervous when I saw cherries, because I hate cherry flavored drinks! 😝 However, I was pleasantly surprised with the sweet chocolate flavor of this tea! Plus, it has sprinkles! How super cute is that?!!

Would I purchase again? Yes, and I recommend purchasing from Adagio Teas. They have very affordable cute little sample tins, that you can purchase to get a feel for the tea. That way, you can determine whether you like it or not without breaking the bank! Plus, they sent me 5 days of sample teas to test and discuss with their online CommuniTEA. BTW, we’ll discuss those sample teas soon.

Hello all my Rose Buds and Flowers! I’ve missed you sooooo much! Since we’ve been stuck in Quarantine Land, I now have a little more time to get back to blogging! Yaaay! So I’ve decided to dedicate Tuesday’s to one of my favorite drinks….Tea 🍵

Although I do love me some plain old black tea. I often gravitate towards the more adventurous flavors like today’s flavor COTTON CANDY 🍭. Yes I said Cotton Candy!

How I prepared? I used to work for a Risk Management Firm, and we had a client who brought in his own Irish Tea to meetings, and he always requested cream. So, one day I decided to try it and was hooked! Well, I said all that to say; I usually always prepare my tea with cream now! With the Cotton Candy Tea, I used Leaner Creamer Original This brand is quite expensive. However, I purchased mine on sale at Home Goods, in the food section. I also used Golding Farms Raw Organic Honey This honey is not as sweet as Wildflower Honey, so I also added (1) pack of Organic Sweetleaf Stevia and served warm.

So what did I think? I loved it! This tea definitely smells like cotton candy! However in my opinion this tea has more raspberry overtones and although it tastes like you’re drinking a sweet treat; it doesn’t really taste like cotton candy.

Would I purchase again? Yes, and I recommend purchasing from Adagio Tea. Hello Beauty Pies!

Hello Love Muffins!

So this year is my daughter’s first Spring Break from College and I was lucky enough to have her still want to vacation with me (-:

My daughter is very passionate about our African American Culture and History, so I searched for something that we could do to not only have fun but to also pay homage to our History.  I found the perfect place right here in Georgia!  Savannah that is!

This City has everything in my opinion!  Southern Charm, Eclectic, Full of history, and surrounded by gorgeous views of water!

There was sooo much to do and see in Savanah that I couldn’t fit it all in just One Post!  So starting today.  I will be posting a series of Me and my  Daughters adventures of the New Old South!!

So lets begin!  My very 1st recommendation is to schedule a Trolley!  Savanah has very narrow streets, lots of traffic, and scarce parking! So getting around by car near some of the main points of interest can be a night mare!

 We scheduled with Old Time Trolley Tours. This Trolley Company has the option of choosing an All Day Tour Regular Price $32.00 per person (on sale now for $28.80)  and 12.50 per Child  (on sale now for 11.25).  Along with several other Tour options such as Night Haunted Tours…. boohaha!

In my opinion its worth every penny! I ordered my tickets online at   www.trolleytours.com ….printed them out,  parked my car FREE at the Welcome Center (located  at the 234 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd), and Hopped on a trolley, that has 16 stops around the City of Savannah.  The stops are near Historical Sites, Parks, Restaurants, and several Hotels.  The tour is guided and comes with a pamphlet to advise of which stops to get off on, for a particular attraction or restaurants.  The Trolley runs every 15 minutes so you can get off and do what ever you would like to do at one stop and then get back on the trolley and head to another stop. This made getting around Savanah very easy!

Although I feel like Old Time Trolley Tours was an excellent choice for me and my daughter.  While on the First  African Baptiste Church Tour, another Tourist advised us that there is another Trolley Company called Oglethorpe Grayline.  This Trolley Company is a little less expensive for there On and Off Tours at $25.00 per person.  Plus Oglethorpe Grayline Tours offer a free service that allows you to call them to find out the exact time of the next Trolley at your pick up stop!  I think that I’m going to try them out on my next visit to Savannah!  You can research them at www.oglethorpetours.com

31 Promises to Speak Over Your Life! (Day 1 Declaration)

Hey Dolls and Divas!

My great Friend Tarrah, who I consider a Sister recently advised me about a book that she read called ” I Declare” by Joel Osteen.  Since I trust Tarrah with my whole heart and Soul, I decided to purchase the book and read it for myself.  Wow!  I am so very glad that I did!  I would advise everyone to go out and get this book!  I am already on Day 7 but every Soul Search Sunday I will share with you a Declaration…starting with Day 1…..Starting today!

So this book has an introduction before the Day 1 Declaration, which had some very powerful and important points here are just a few of my Favorites:

I will declare, “I’m blessed.  I’m strong. I’m healthy. This will be a great year.”  When you do that, you are blessing your future.

You give life to your faith by what you say. All through the day we should go around saying, “I have the favor of God.  I can do all things through Christ. I am blessed. I’m strong.  I’m healthy.” When you do that you just blessed your life.

Instead of speaking Negativity in and over your life, when you wake up in the morning say out loud ” This is going to be a great day. I’m Excited about my future. Something good is about to happen to me.”

Even when things don’t look to be going your way, speak Victory in your life! ” I know when one door closes God will open up another door.  What was meant for my harm, God will use to my advantage. I’m not only coming out, I will come out better off than I was before.  I’m blessed. I’m healthy, I’m strong. I’m valuable. I’m talented. I have a bright future.”

Sick in your body? Speak good health over your life! “I am getting better and better, every day in every way. I’m improving. My health is coming back.”

Speak who You are in God!  Every morning say ” Good morning you beautiful thing.  (or) Good morning you handsome thing.  Good morning, you blessed prosperous, successful, strong, talented, creative, confident, secure, disciplined, focused, highly favored child of the Most God” Get it in the inside!  Speak faith over your future!

A few scriptures that the book referenced were: Joel 3:10….Proverbs 6:2….Proverbs 18:21(the power of life and death are in the tongue)
